Slide Orientation

A PowerPoint slide can be designed in portrait or landscape orientation. The default orientation for a slide is landscape, in which the slide is wider than it is tall. Sometimes it is useful to set up a slide in portrait orientationthe slide is taller than it is wideparticularly if you are using PowerPoint to create a one-page flyer. It is also possible to link presentations with different orientations. Use PowerPoint Help to learn about changing orientation.


Click in the Type a question for help box, and then type How do I set up a slide in portrait? Press .


Click Show a portrait-oriented slide in a landscape-oriented presentation.
