In this chapter, you learned several JSP componentsimplicit objects, scripting elements, standard actions and directives. You saw JSP examples that use these components to separate presentation from business logic and learned that logic can be placed in a JSP via scripting elements. You also learned how to use the CachedRowSet to manipulate a MySQL database in a JavaBean object, then access the JavaBean object in a JSP page. In the next chapter, we summarize how to display formatted output with various format characters and flags. We also demonstrate how to format output with class Formatter.
