In Chapter 3, we loaded the data from Chapter 1 into the characteristics and the InfoCube created in Chapter 2. In addition, we checked characteristic contents. In this chapter, we will demonstrate how to check InfoCube contents. Having correct data in BW is the ultimate goal when loading data.
In Chapter 3, we also used BW Monitor to check whether data were loaded successfully. In this chapter, we will demonstrate how to use BW Monitor to diagnose errors when a data load fails.
Once data are loaded into their destinations, removing the data from their destination is not an easy task, as we will learn in Chapter 12, Data Maintenance. BW provides PSA (Persistent Staging Area), a place where we can display and check data before they are loaded into their destinations; we will learn how to use PSA in this chapter.
