Summary

In this chapter, we demonstrated how easy it is to extract R/3 data using Business Content's generic data extraction function. Actually, of course, this process is not as easy as it looks. The very first question is, How do we know that the R/3 tables LFM1 and LFA1 contain the data we want? After all, an R/3 system has approximately 10,000 tables. The answer is very simple: The BW technical developer must know the R/3 database inside and out – a very big challenge.
