The Client Selector enables developers to add code tailored to either the Lotus Notes or Web browser environment. For example, it's possible to create an application that is used both from the Lotus Notes client as well as from a Web browser (such as Netscape®, Microsoft Internet Explorer®, or Firefox®).
Using the Client Selector, you can toggle between the Lotus Notes client and the Web browser development environments. The Client Selector enables one set of code to be implemented when accessing the application from the Lotus Notes client and another set of code to be implemented when accessing from a Web browser. Because Web browsers work and display information differently from that of the client, unique code can be developed to accommodate either the Lotus Notes client or Web browser environments.
