Our view of future visions would not be complete without at least mentioning that 5G is also on the drawing boards. What we envision beyond 4G is a wireless world with incredible transmission speed and no limitation on access or zone sizes. 5G should comprise more intelligent technologies that interconnect the entire world without limits, creating a real wireless worldwhat is sometimes today referred to as the wireless World Wide Web (WWWW). For a truly wonderful example of the future of wireless and mobile communications, be sure to watch the NTT DoCoMo "Vision 2010" video at www.docomo-usa.com/vision2010/. It will open your eyes to a range of applications and usages you've not yet considered, and it will hopefully help you understand just how much new technology still needs to be introduced before we can truly call ourselves a mobile society.
