The Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) allows systems to read and write files between them in a client/server relationship. One of the advantages of TFTP application inspection is that the Cisco ASA can prevent a host from opening invalid connections. Additionally, the Cisco ASA enforces the creation of a secondary channel initiated from the server. This restriction prevents the TFTP client from creating the secondary connection. Use the inspect tftp command to enable TFTP inspection on the Cisco ASA.
