Setting Tabs

Table of contents:

  1. Place your pointer where you want to add horizontal space and press the Tab key.
  2. Choose Type > Tabs. With your Type cursor in the text frame, click the magnet symbol at the bottom right of the Tab Ruler to snap the Tab Ruler above the text frame.
  3. On the Tab Ruler, choose the type of tab you want and click a location on the ruler to position the tab.

Note

You can set repeating tabs based on the distance between the tab and the left indent or the previous tab stop by choosing Repeat Tab in the Tabs Palette menu. You can also delete any existing tabs by choosing Clear All.
