Summary

PostgreSQL is an open-source product, and the core developers come from many different countries. PostgreSQL has been developed to be an international database system. The combination of Unicode and translated message texts mean that PostgreSQL can be used in every region of the world. The biggest challenge to using PostgreSQL in many regions will be the task of finding and installing fonts and input methods for local character sets.
