Unified Process: Construction Phase and Fifth Iteration

The fifth iteration of the construction phase is an extension of the existing GDI+ features that were implemented in the preceding iteration. For that reason, the deliverables are similar to the ones described in Chapter 6.

The go/no-go criteria for this iteration are essentially the same as the ones described in Chapter 6. The only difference is that the deliverables reflect the features that need to be implemented in this iteration. Here is the list of deliverables:

• Requirements: Uncover any requirements that have been missed and refine the requirements that are implemented in this iteration.
• Analysis: Analyze the requirements that are to be implemented in this iteration.
• Design: Update the UML design model.
• Implementation: Implement the functionalities as described in the requirements, analysis, and design documents for this iteration.
• Test: Unit-test the implemented functionality.

Even though this iteration is a continuation of the implementation in Chapter 6, the project must go through all workflows of the Unified Process. Therefore, we start with the requirements refinement.
