Cisco Video Telephony (VT) Advantage is a video telephony solution comprising the Cisco VT Advantage software application and Cisco VT Camera, a video telephony Universal Serial Bus (USB) camera. With the Cisco VT Camera attached to a PC wired through a Cisco IP Phone, users can place and receive video calls on the enterprise IP telephony network. By using the VT Advantage solution, you can take full advantage of your existing IP network to deliver communications that extend voice and video to every user in the organization. This chapter discusses the concepts and configuration behind Cisco VT Advantage.

Note

As with most products in the Cisco IP telephony line, the Cisco VT Advantage has recently been renamed to Cisco Unified Video Advantage. For brevity, we have decided to use the shorter VT Advantage name throughout this chapter.
