Opening a Presentation

Click the Open button on the Standard toolbar, and the Open dialog box appears.

Click the My Documents icon on the Places bar, or use the Look in drop-down list to locate the folder that contains the file you want to open.

Double-click the file you want to open, and PowerPoint opens the presentation.

INTRODUCTION

Eventually, you'll have to close PowerPoint and any presentations you have created. If you saved your work, you can continue working on your presentations at any time by opening the saved presentations.

TIP

Alternative Look in Locations

If necessary, click the down arrow next to the Look in field and select the folder that contains the desired file from the list. To move up a folder level, click the Up One Level button on the Open toolbar.

TIP

Existing Presentations

If the New Presentation task pane is open, you can always click the From Existing Presentation link to locate the file you want to open.
