Chapter 7: The User Interface

 < Free Open Study >

Summary

In this chapter, you went through a lot of code, using many of the more complex objects in the automation model. You created a new Windows application project. You added button components and renamed, resized, and repositioned one of the components. You learned how to remove components and how to add an event to a component. You saw how to loop through a collection of selected components, listing properties for the individual selected components, and you learned how to modify properties of selected components. Finally, you added a menu with submenus to the form. As you have come to understand with the objects in this chapter, you can do anything you want to do with the components on a form programmatically.

In Chapter 7 you will learn a variety of ways to produce a user interface, including through the use of tool bars, menus, and even the system tray.
