All in all, project managers must develop an atmosphere of trust so that effective dialog can result in a vision that all stakeholders can follow. They can engender trust by following a consistent approach throughout the PVW. Actions include: looking like they are not playing favorites; being honest in both feelings and contents; remaining realistic without falling into the abyss of negativism; and being tolerant and open to different perspectives, opinions , and ideas. Project managers must stand above the fray to develop a vision that is meaningful to everyone and sustainable throughout the life of a project.
