Many designers want even more design facilities, including multiple windows . Such expectations aren't unreasonable because these features are common in computer interfaces. Such power comes at a price, however. Frames seem to provide significant layout flexibility, but when misused, they can confuse users ”or even lock them out of a site completely. While some usability pundits have given frames a bad reputation, don't let this keep you from using them. When properly used, frames have a place in the Web designer's arsenal.
