Write long memos faster by using a portable keyboard or entering information in Palm Desktop software, and then sync. You can also cut and paste text from apps on your PC into Palm Desktop before synchronizing.
Real Life Memos
Jerry's a frequent-flying consultant who always found airplane trays cramped, even for a small laptop. By adding a portable keyboard to his handheld, he created an ultracompact laptop substitute. Now he types documents in comfort and syncs after he lands.
Delete memos
To delete a memo, open the memo and select Details > Delete. Check the Save archive copy on PC box (unless you're sure you don't want to keep a backup) and tap OK.
Don't format memos
You might be tempted to spruce up your memos with indents, bullets, or other formatting. Resist the urge. The memos won't retain such features. Instead, write in the plainest text possible and sync. In Palm Desktop, select Edit > Send To > MS Word and format in Word.
Print memos
You can use Palm Desktop software to print memos for handy reference or record-keeping. If you have a Mac, you can print to common day-calendar formats or create your own format. Palm Desktop software has lots of printing options. For details, see page 67.
