About the Contributing Authors

Eddie Wilson, a graphic designer by profession, directed his interests toward Flash design with the release of v4. Continually educating himself in interactive design, he strives to develop Flash applications that are visually appealing, intuitive, and useable. Eddie has utilized his talent and experience on projects for such companies as American Family Fitness, Dunmar Moving Companies, Time Magazine, Overnite Shipping, Freddie Mac, and The Switch Beverage Company to name a few. Previously a partner in a Richmond-based design firm, Eddie has branched out on his own and provides his services on a contract basis. Eddie is also a cofounder of EMLlabs (along with David Vogeleer), an online resource for advanced Macromedia Flash techniques.

Lou Barber is manager and founder of FDUG (Flash Development User Group, www.fdug.org) in Richmond, VA. Lou, a Certified Macromedia Flash instructor, enjoys teaching and sharing his knowledge of Flash with anyone willing to learn. He is also owner and creative director of Silhouette Multimedia, LLC, a company specializing in Flash web development and Flash applications. He has been the driving force behind some very impressive and unique websites and continues to introduce the advantages and strengths of Flash to prospective clients.
