Chapter 17. Email, iWeb, and Bluetooth

17. Email, iWeb, and Bluetooth

You may be creating movies that will live only on your hard disk, for your eyes only, never to be seen by anyone. More likely, though, your movies are meant to be viewed. As I've covered already, you can export the movie to a DVD or videotape and mail it to your relativesif you don't mind purchasing the media, filling it with movies (or just using a few minutes of it for one movie), then paying to mail it across the country or around the world. Where's the instant gratification in that?

Instead (or in addition), send your movie to the grandparents by email or post it to the Web. Previous versions of the software let you upload movies to a .Mac HomePage, but iMovie HD 6 jettisoned that option in favor of using iLife's newest member, iWeb.

Yet another option is to transfer the movie to a Bluetooth-enabled cellular phone or handheld organizer. As these devices become more sophisticated, it's likely that soon you'll be able to show off your entire film library to your friends over lunch or coffee.
