Third-Party Scripts

You're not limited to using scripts supplied by Jasc or that you've recorded or written yourself. You can also share scripts with other people and install other people's scripts. To install a third-party script, you just need to copy the script into one of the Script folders specified in your file location preferences. The script can then be run from the Script toolbar or from the F ile > Scr i pt menu.

Scripts that can be understood by the built-in script editor should be stored in one of your Scripts - Restricted folders. Scripts that contain Python code that the built-in editor cannot read must be stored in one of your Scripts - Trusted folders.

NOTE

graphic/p3.gif CAUTION

Be careful about using scripts that can be run only from a Scripts - Trusted folder. Destructive code can appear in such scripts, either by accident or intentionally. Be sure you know and trust the source of any trusted scripts. (After all, that's why they're called Trusted.)
