Chapter 2. Fast Start

Now that you have made it through the installation and you have set up your machine to run Reason, it's time to take a look at what it can do. In this chapter, you will dive a little deeper into the program, have a look at some of the components that comprise this application, and begin learning how to work with them. In this chapter, you'll learn how to:

Play back a song in Reason.

Work with the rack window and the transport bar.

Perform basic audio routing.

Identify the functions of the various devices available in Reason.
