A number of factors may cause special problems or add complexity during a product's life cycle and thereby pose special requirements for configuration management. More of these factors may be present in some projects, and they always coexist with other factors, such as the development model and product type. As indicated earlier, these factors must be taken into consideration singly and in combination.
