Analysis

The first important step to move your application to the Web is complete. The DDS source and panel group source are now available in a form a browser understands. The conversion itself is fairly easy, because you already created the WebFacing project. Once the project exists, the WebFacing Tool has all the information readily available for conversion. If you have to alter the original source later on, you can easily reconvert the project.

You have completed the exercise Converting Selected Source Members . Here is what you did:

  • You selected the WebFacing project to convert, including all DDS source members and all panel group source members that are part of this project.

  • You started the WebFacing conversion process.

  • You analyzed the conversion logs to ensure that no serious errors occurred during conversion.

You are ready to move on. In the next chapter, you will run your application with its new user interface. Proceed to the exercise Running the Web-enabled Application.
