Chapter 32
Many companies share information and resources on networks. In fact, many people work daily on intranets, extranets, and the Internet by transferring files, downloading information, storing information to networked backup systems, and printing using networked printers. Clearly, people benefit in a number of ways when they share information on networks.
As you've seen throughout this book, you can take advantage of several networking features in Microsoft Word (for example, using online collaboration tools is discussed in Chapter 30, "Collaborating On Line with E-Mail, NetMeeting, Discussions, and Faxes"). This chapter covers some network-specific topics about sharing information on line. In this chapter, you'll learn how to share folders and files, use workgroup templates, and work with team Web sites using Microsoft SharePoint Team Services.
