If you encounter unwanted gaps in your Timeline, there is a quick fix to help you remove them.

1.

Right-click a Gap in the Timeline

Right-click a gap in the Timeline to display the context menu. If you have more than one gap in the Timeline, you will have to manually close them one at a time.

2.

Select Delete and Close Gap

The context menu offers only one option to choose: Delete and Close Gap. If the gap cannot be deleted and closed (if there are audio or video clips on other tracks in the same position of the Timeline), the context menu option is not available. In this case, you can manually drag the clip to close the gap.

35. Delete and Close Gaps in the Timeline

After selecting the Delete and Close Gap option, the gap is removed from between the clips. All clips to the right of the gap move to the left to fill in the gap.
