As you can see, Avid Xpress Pro offers you numerous additional tools to use when you're editing. Try to get comfortable using these tools as they will certainly aid you as you edit.

• Locators add a mark to a frame for easy reference.

• You can add type to locators and change their color .

• Avid Xpress can perform a series of edits in at once, called a storyboard edit.

• Master clips can be broken up into smaller clips called sub-clips.

• Timecode is an electronic addressing system and is the foundation of how Avid Xpress works.

• The Match Frame button loads a clip into the source monitor and adds an IN point at the matched frame.

• At anytime , you can copy and paste clips inside the Timeline.
