Away Message

Whenever you are online and logged on to Instant Messenger, people are able to instant message you. If you want to temporarily disable Instant Messenger without logging off, you can use an Away message. This is great if you have to step away from your computer but want to let others know that you'll be back.

1. Click on the Activate Away Message icon . A list of different Away messages will appear.

2. Click on the desired Away message . Each option will display a different logo beside your name in other people's message windows , letting them know you are temporarily away. Your own window will also change to show that you are away.

   

3. Click on the I'm Back! button to return to your Instant Messenger session.
