Access has always been available as a stand-alone product. It's also available with Office. There are four versions of Office 2002, but only Office 2002 Professional and Office 2002 Developer include Access 2002. (Access isn't available for the Macintosh.)
Microsoft recommends that you run Office 2002 on Windows XP Professional, on a system with a Pentium III processor and at least 128MB of RAM. The Office 2002 (and Access 2002) minimum requirements are listed in Table 9.1. Except for the minimum hard disk space, the minimum requirements for Office 2002 and Access 2002 are identical.
