Overview

Reviewing your source code as you wrote it, without compiling it, is almost always a very big waste of time, because only the program compile is the final judge of whether your code is correct enough to create an object program.

The computer can make you incredibly smart ”if you let it. However, many of the programmers I ve observed over the years , in many different IT departments, actually refuse the computer s help.

I still see programmers ”almost always journeyman programmers ”listing their source programs for review and then poring over their own code as if they had not just written it. That drives me crazy. It is as if they are purposely working in slow motion, afraid to have the computer see their errors.

Well, the computer really does not care about you or your coding. It simply tells you the truth, so why delay the news?
