SYSTEMINFO (XP only)

 < Day Day Up >

Displays detailed configuration information about a computer and Windows, including operating system (OS) configuration, security information, product ID, and hardware properties, such as memory, disk space, and network adapters.

Use

Type SYSTEMINFO. If you want to configure the format of the output, use the /fo switch. SYSTEMINFO is an ideal command to be accompanied by the MORE command.

Switches

/fo followed by one of the three possibilities: TABLE, LIST, or CSV (Comma-Separated Values). LIST is the default.

Note

  • You might get the error message indicating that a required file, framedyn.dll, is missing. If this is the case, you'll need to find the file framedyn.dl_ on the XP installation disk in the I386 folder. Copy this file to Windows\System32. Then, use the EXPAND command to expand it and then REN or the Windows interface to rename it framedyn.dll.
