Chapter 14: Creating a Phonebook

Overview

This chapter uses many of the skills covered earlier to create some fully functional and useful programs:

• A command-line program for adding people and numbers to person and phone tables

• A short phone number lookup program

• A large maintenance program for the person and phone tables

The programs are intended to be easy to change and extend. In these programs, the prompts, the SQL, and some of the validation are dependent on data; change the data, and the program changes.
