I'm Just Not Ready

A lot of people (especially non-programmers) are still playing catch up when it comes to learning ActionScript. So I'm sure most of them were very pleased to hear that ActionScript got a major upgrade to version 2.0.

Don't worry, though. If you want to transition to the new version slowly over time, that's your decision to make. Open your Publish Settings for any Flash document (CTRL-SHIFT-F12), go to the Flash tab, and you'll see the option to publish your movie using good ol' AS 1.0.

If you choose to do this for a while, I would still recommend learning how to use AS 2.0 effectively. Eventually, version 1 will be deprecated, and it's only a matter of time before everyone will be using version 2, and you don't want to be different, do you? Do you?!
