About The Technical Reviewers

Bryan Ashcraft's adventure into the world of web development began by accident . Being a musician, he loved the creative outlet the web provided. But little did he know that it would lead to a career change. Having played around with HTML for about a year and hearing that some friends in a local techno group wanted their website ( www.clubnation.net ) redesigned, Bryan, along with the band 's sound and lighting engineer, volunteered to take on the task. That was the beginning of Paragon Visuals.

As co-founder and lead developer, Bryan focuses on helping small- to mid-size businesses bring their products or services to the web, utilizing ColdFusion, ASP, and the entire Macromedia Studio suite. Paragon Visuals also designs and develops other promotional material, including interactive CDs, brochures , and logos. Bryan is a Macromedia-Certified Dreamweaver Developer and Team Macromedia Member, as well as a certified Master CIW Designer. He is also a founding partner of Community MX ( www.communitymx.com ) and a contributing author at Dreamweaver FAQ ( www.dreamweaverfaq.com ).

Laurie Casolino first discovered the Internet in 1996, and it was love at first "site." The more she surfed, the more fascinated she became with the nuts and bolts of how websites were created. She downloaded a freeware HTML editor and made her first home page. It wasn't pretty, but it was the beginning of a love affair with web design. Not happy with the lack of control she had over her page with this editor, Laurie started looking around for a good HTML editor. A friend recommended that she try Dreamweaver. She downloaded the trial version of Dreamweaver 3 and immediately knew that this was what she had been looking for.

With two young children, Laurie wanted a career that she could feel passionate about, yet still be able to work from home. In 2001, she started MJ Website Designs. Still passionate about Dreamweaver, she discovered the Macromedia newsgroups and the great bunch of volunteers who have taught her so much. A partner in Community MX ( www.communitymx.com ), Laurie is finding that the more she learns, the more there is to learn.
