For command-line junkies, it doesn't get any better than ADFind and ADMod for searching and modifying Active Directory and ADAM.
ADFind and ADMod are two of the many useful freeware tools offered by Joe Richards via his web site, www.joeware.net. ADFind includes a huge number of advanced LDAP search features that to our knowledge are available only in LDP. None of Microsoft's command-line LDAP tools, such as dsquery, offers as much power, so we recommend ADFind instead.
In the interests of full disclosure, we should mention that Joe Richards graciously agreed to review this book and contributed a great deal to improving its quality. However, he does not receive any compensation for this tool, so this shameless plug represents no conflict of interest.
