The standard way to give the address of any resource that is part of the World Wide Web. For example, http://www.microsoft.com/info/cpyright.htm. The most common way to use a URL is to enter it into a Web browser program.
A PC format for indicating the location of resources on a network. UNC uses the following format: \\ServerName \ShareName\ResourcePath. To identify the Ample.txt file in the Sample folder in the Docs share on the server named Example, the UNC would be \\Example \Docs\Sample \Ample.txt.
A user’s access to a network. Each user account has a unique user name and security ID (SID).
