IN THIS CHAPTER
Mobile phones and handheld devices have been able to access the Internet for several years now, so the concept of the wireless Web isn't all that new. What is fairly new, however, is the notion of truly being able to wirelessly access and view web pages that aren't specifically designed for a mobile device. Thanks to its relatively high-resolution screen, the Treo 650 makes it possible to view a wide range of web pages without too much scrolling around. Of course, you can also view pages designed for mobile devices via Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), which is also useful. However, using the Blazer Web browser on your Treo device to view a full-size website without wires while away from your desktop PC is an exciting proposition. |
