Schedules


You might want activities to take place only at certain times or to restrict access to the Internet during nonworking hours. ISA Server schedules allow you to configure time in one-hour increments, which you can then use to configure access rules. There are two default schedules:

  • Weekends Defines all hours on Saturday and Sunday

  • Work Hours Defines the hours between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday

Creating a Schedule

To create a schedule, follow these steps:

  1. In the ISA Server Management console tree, click Firewall Policy.

  2. On the Toolbox tab in the task pane, click Schedules, and then click New to open the New Schedule dialog box.

  3. Type a name and description in the appropriate text boxes.

  4. Configure the schedule by selecting the times indicated, then selecting either Active or Inactive, as shown in Figure 7-5.
