Using SQL Server Notification Services, you can quickly create applications that generate and send notifications based on the preferences of subscribers. SQL Server 2005 enhances the NSControl command line toolset available for deploying and managing instances of Notification Services, and also provides a new graphical user interface for most of these commands via SQL Server Management Studio.
