Hour 8. Using Excel 2003

Hour 8. Using Excel 2003

Make your worksheets more accurate by mastering the techniques in this hour's lesson. You can easily edit cell contents with the tools Excel 2003 provides.

After you master worksheet-editing skills, you are then ready to see how Excel's AutoCorrect feature works to improve the accuracy of your worksheets. Excel is smart and can even enter cell values for you. When you ask Excel to fill in a series of cell values, it uses some intuitive guesswork to complete any series that you begin. If you often enter a special series of numbers or labels, you can teach Excel to recognize that series. This feature eliminates typing when you use the series again.

The highlights of this hour include the following:

  • Why AutoCorrect is important to numeral-based worksheets

  • How Excel fills in series for you

  • When (and how) to teach Excel a new series

  • How to find and replace worksheet data

  • How to print worksheets more effectively

  • How to use comments to describe a cell
