Conclusions

In this chapter, the architecture of the Web graph was explored in terms of the link topology of the graph. The field of Web mining was used to develop a model that can lead to the creation of robust cyber-communities. The hub and spoke model offers great potential to improve the creation of cyber-communities and topic distillation.

The hub and authority model was exploited in order to derive a hub and spoke model. For the sake of creating a local cyber-community, the hub and spoke model appears to offer promising results. The model demonstrates how link structure determines the importance of documents. Additionally, the model leads to the efficient identification of Web communities.
