Be sure to adjust the part sizes in the order stated. If you set them in another order, one or more parts may be an unexpected size.
Windows users: When changing some fields to Arial 12 pt. bold, their height may increase. Be sure to check and reduce their height, if necessary.
The fastest way to make all fields and labels the same height is to set one to 0.236", select all fields and labels, and choose Arrange > Resize To > Largest Height.
You can quickly apply a Date or Number format by -clicking (Mac) or right-clicking (Windows) a field. Then choose Date Format or Number Format from the pop-up menu that appears.
There are some measures you can take to ensure conformity among the layouts. First, align the left edge of the Header text with that of the Footer. Second, ensure that the Last Modified label and field are in the same position on every layout. Finally, place the top field in the same location on each of the new layouts.

Each table on the Relationships tab is resizable. For example, you can drag the bottom of a table to show more or fewer fields.

Another more common way to add fields to a layout is to click the Field Tool in the tool panel and drag to the approximate spot where you want to add the field. Duplicating an existing field, on the other hand, has the advantage of duplicating its formatting.

Like other layout objects, you can resize a portal. Select the portalnot its fieldsand drag one of its handles. (Handles will surround only the portal's top row.) To change the height of the portal rows, drag the bottom-right portal handle.
To set or change the number of visible portal rows, double-click the portal to open the Portal Setup dialog box. (Note that clicking the Show vertical scroll bar check box allows you to see additional rows via scrolling.)
