• Use themes to get ready-to-use designs, complete with all the essential elements you need. Themes can be added to individual pages or to all pages within a site.

• Use shared borders to define common areas that pages within the site share, and then add the common elements to these shared border areas.

• Use link bars to add textual or graphical menus that link to pages in the site, or to pages in other sites.

• Use page banners to add a banner that specifies the title or purpose of the page. Banners can be text-only, or they can be text on a graphical backdrop.

• When you use themes, shared borders, link bars, and page banners, you are using a FrontPage component that requires you to publish the page to a Web server that supports the FrontPage Server Extensions.

• You can easily customize themes, shared borders, link bars and page banners to suit your needs, and when you no longer want to use them, these features can be removed.
