So far you've seen what procedures are and how they can be used. VBA has a whole host of functions built in to make things easy for you. You've already seen an example of one - IsMissing() .
We're not going to give a full list of functions in the book because there are far too many of them, and anyway the Access documentation has a good list. You can find it under the Microsoft Visual Basic Help Contents , under Visual Basic Language Reference: Functions.
You'll see some of these in use as we explain variables in the next section, and plenty of examples throughout the rest of the book.
