IN THIS CHAPTER
It's time to put iTunes through it paces so you can see and hear for yourself what it can do. Fortunately, you will find that iTunes is not only well designed once you start using it, but it is also easy to get started with. In the first part of this chapter, you'll learn how to install and launch iTunes. Although using iTunes on a Windows PC and on a Macintosh are nearly identical, there are slight differences in how you install the applications on each platform. So, I've included an installation section for each kind of computer. It should go without saying, but I will say it anyway just in case: You don't need to read both installation sections. Just read the section that is applicable for the type of computer you use. After you have installed and launched iTunes, read the section called "Getting to Know iTunes," where you'll get the grand tour of the amazing iTunes features you will be using throughout the rest of this part of the book. |
