What to Do Next

Basically, at least for the development teams at ThoughtWorks, Inc., we will do more of the same. Since originally presenting the information in this chapter at XP Universe, we have written a paper that is a continuation of this experience [Elssamadisy+2001]. It addresses problems that we found with XP and specific mistakes that we made, and recommends solutions for them.

Also, there is a lack of literature that addresses the database administrator (team) in XP. This is mainly because XP is targeted toward smaller projects in which the developers also do the database administration tasks. But when applying XP to larger projects, as we have, many issues need to be addressed and explored.
