Improving and Modifying the Application

To keep in mind the size of this book and the chapter, we tried to limit the functionality of the Job Board application. However, you can modify the existing application to build a Job Board application with some more user-friendly features. Some of the possible improvements to the application could be the following:

• Adding the latest job listing on the home page

• Adding the latest resume listing on the home page

• Adding a search feature that can search jobs and resumes based on keywords

• Adding features such as a resume builder, search saves, personal pages, and other resources that can help candidates to build their resume online

• Categorizing jobs based on the state or country (if there is enough traffic on your site)
