Templates

The template has a chart, but the chart fails to appear when applied to a report. Why is that?

Charts are typically built to show summary values. Make sure to group the data in the report and include one or more summaries. This is the most likely reason the chart failed to show.

Using the sample templates shipped with Crystal Reports works fine for everything except the Title and Report Description fields. These fields are blank and can't be edited. How can Title and Report Description fields be added to the report?

These are special fields accessible from the Field Explorer. In order to populate these fields, go to File, Summary Info. In the dialog box the Title property assigns a value to the Title field and the Comments property assigns a value to the Report Description field.
