Dedications

I want to dedicate this book to four people who have made this book possible on a personal level. My son, Jesse, contributed an occasionally inscrutable sense of humor whenever humor disappeared. My brother, Chris, nagged me to do something over a few beers. My wife, Lyne, knew when to disappear, and when not to. Last but not least, my father-in-law, Eugene Cote, whose sparkling faith in the book's inevitability got me over many rough spots. This book would not have been finished without him. And, as a lagniappe, I also want to thank my Mom, without whom I wouldn't have been possible. She's number five, but also number one.
