Wrapping It All Up

You have successfully completed the website (we hope)! It's important to go take a break and put your feet up after a major undertaking, so that's your final step in this book: Go take a break. Get some ice cream. Chocolate peanut butter even. You deserve it.

Hopefully, you have found out how much fun Flash can be, and just how easy it is to get started using the software. Obviously, it doesn't end here. But hopefully this is what you might call a firm foundation in Flash, and you will feel both confident and free to experiment and expand your base of knowledge. Now that you have created an entire website, you can start creating your own projects using Flash while continuing to learn new tips and tricks along the way.

Make sure you visit the forums for this book at www.TrainingFromTheSource.com/forum, in which there is a specific forum dedicated to getting help with the book, and information on add-ons. Unfortunately, it's usually not possible to write a perfect book or create perfect software, and from time to time there are updates to the software or to the player that might mean changes to the bookstore application must be made. If something like this occurs (or anything else), your questions can be answered on the forum. You might find an answer even faster by checking the errata, forum, and FAQ pages on the supporting website we've mentioned many times throughout the book: www.TrainingFromTheSource.com.

You will probably have questions left over about ActionScript because a tutorial format just doesn't allow a person to clarify everything you probably want to know about the ActionScript language (even what's included in the lessons). There is a lot of help in the community, which is one of the best parts of using Macromedia Flash 8. So thanks for reading, best of luck with your future projects, and we hope to see you out there!
