Configuring Frame Relay: Setting the Frame Relay Encapsulation LMI Type

Router(config-if)#frame-relay lmi-type {ansi | cisco | q933a}

Depending on the option you select, this command sets the LMI type to the ANSI standard, the Cisco standard, or the ITU-T Q.933 Annex A standard

Note:

As of Cisco IOS Software Release 11.2 the LMI type is auto-sensed, making this command optional.
