Remember the old days when pressing CTRL-N in Flash meant a new document instantly? In Flash MX 2004, this same shortcut prompts you with a window that lets you select the kind of document you want to start with. Being a long-time Visual Studio developer myself, I do take comfort in the familiarity here, but I hate having to click the OK button in this dialog just to get a new document open quickly. If you want instant gratification too, try this. Instead of CTRL-N, press CTRL-ALT-N (OPT-CMD-N on Mac). This will skip the new New Document window and immediately create what you want. A new blank document.
